Job summary

The Anner Hotel in Thurles, Ireland, seeks a Finance Manager to work with the General Manager and senior team to drive financial performance across all departments.

You will lead the monthly close, budgeting, cashflow forecasting and financial reporting, ensuring strict controls and profitability. Hospitality experience is advantageous; ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA qualified with minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
• Excellent Excel skills and multi-system experience – Sage, Hotsoft, Procure Wizard and Timepoint.
• Previous experience in hospitality is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the General Manager and Senior team to monitor KPIs including wages, GP’s and departmental margins.
• Prepare Monthly Management Accounts with P&L, KPI’s, Balance Sheet reconciliation and cashflow forecast.
• Lead forecasts for revenue and costs, identify risks and opportunities affecting financial performance.
• Prepare costings for Capital projects for Head Office approval.
• Monitor internal controls to ensure robustness and reduce leakage.
• Maximise profitability through strict controls and input into key strategic decisions.
• Manage cashflows to ensure payments align with schedules.
• Oversee Income Audit accuracy and leakage prevention.
• Prepare ad hoc reports for Management and Head Office.
• Assist in annual budgeting and audit preparation.
