Job summary

Caterline Catering Equipment Ltd in Dublin seeks a Financial Controller to lead the finance function, ensuring robust governance, accurate reporting and strategic financial planning. This role is central to supporting operational efficiency and sustainable growth in a fast-paced catering environment.

You will oversee accounting operations, budgeting, cash flow, and compliance, mentor the finance team and support executive decisions in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
• Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in catering, hospitality, or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of Irish financial regulations and VAT.
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, QuickBooks).
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Commercial acumen and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Irish tax laws and financial regulations.
• Manage Bunzl plc reporting requirements, including budgets and presentations, ensuring accurate HFM submissions in line with reporting deadlines.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions.
• Monitor performance against budget and report variances.
• Manage cash flow and working capital.
• Liaise with banks and financial institutions.
• Oversee treasury functions and investment planning.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure strong internal controls and audit readiness.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Manage and mentor the finance team.
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with catering operations to assess financial impact of decisions.
• Support pricing strategies, cost control initiatives, and margin improvement.
• Provide commercial and financial support to OpCo Finance Director and Managing Director.
