This is an important role in the financial administration of a busy community and training centre. While the core of the position is financial administration, the role also includes some general office administration and reception duties. The successful candidate will therefore be a welcoming and professional point of contact for staff, centre users, visitors, suppliers and members of the local community.
Financial and administrative competence is essential, but so too is the ability to be a friendly, respectful and approachable colleague. We are a small, supportive team and place great importance on positive working relationships, clear communication and a cooperative approach. The successful candidate will enjoy working with colleagues and members of the community, communicate courteously and professionally at all times, and contribute positively to a welcoming workplace.

We welcome applications from people with a sound foundation in financial administration who are willing to learn, develop and progress in their career. Full experience of every system is not essential where candidates can demonstrate relevant skills, good IT ability, accuracy, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

New Ballagh Centre recognises the value of supporting staff to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence. The successful candidate will join a supportive workplace and will have opportunities to develop in areas relevant to the role, including financial administration, payroll, bookkeeping, IT systems, funding compliance and community‑sector administration.
