Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process monthly journals, salaries, accruals and prepayments.

Job description

Lcoation: Dundalk, Co Louth HYBRID******

This is a key role within the Finance team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. The Financial Accountant will take ownership of core month-end processes, balance sheet integrity, and regulatory returns while supporting the wider Finance team.

• Processing of monthly journals, salaries, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist the Finance Managers with producing monthly management accounts for the business that are both accurate and timely, including identification and analysis of material variances to Budget and Prior year.
• Preparation of the quarterly betting duty returns and liaising with Revenue/HMRC where necessary.
• Monthly/ Quarterly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts, including relevant schedules.
• Maintain the fixed asset register for all companies within the Group.
• Work closely with various internal departments eg. Accounts payable and Treasury to ensure all costs have been recorded correctly.
• Provide insight and analysis for cost optimisation initiatives and drive a change culture where appropriate.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and year end reporting under FRS 102.
• Liase with external auditors, ensuring audit readiness and timely resolution of queries.

The Person

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA preference)
