Job summary

CPL in Limerick is recruiting a Financial Accountant to join the finance team on a permanent basis. You will work closely with the Financial Controller and cover a broad remit across accounting and finance.

The role involves preparing monthly management and financial accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, audits and compliance, cost and budget/project financials, and advising on commercial activities. Office-based in Limerick city, full right to work in Ireland required.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA preferred).
• 2–3+ years industry experience or strong audit/practice background.
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and inter-personal skills.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative.

Are you a fully qualified accountant with a solid industry profile who is now looking to take on an exciting new challenge? Or have you recently completed your full qualifications in an audit/practice environment & are now looking to make the move to industry?

Our client, a long-established & major provider of engineering services nationally, have now engaged with us in CPL to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Job

As a key part of the finance team team you will work closely with the Financial Controller & cover a broad remit of duties across all aspects of accounting & finance.

More specifically this will include the preparation of the monthly management & financial accounts, running balance sheet recs, assisting on audit & compliance reporting, overseeing cost & budget/project financials, providing financial guidance on commercial activities, leading out your individual projects & supporting the wider operations team when & where needed.

Your Skills/Experience that we need

• 3rd level qualified in a relevant discipline ideally.
• Fully qualified accountant - ACA or ACCA preferred.
• 2-3+ years industry experience ideally but candidates with a strong audit/practice profile will also be considered.
• Excellent IT skills including a high level of ability in all Microsoft applications.
• Excellent attention to detail & inter-personal skills.
• Proven ability to work on your own initiative.

The Offer

Salary will depend on candidate skills & experience but is expected to range up to approx. 68k maximum + benefits.

This role will be fully office based in Limerick city

Candidates must hold full right to work in Ireland.
