Job summary

Morgan McKinley, partnering with a leading US multinational manufacturing organisation in Shannon, seeks a Financial Accountant with 1-2 years of industry experience to join its established finance team. You will gain broad exposure across financial accounting, month-end reporting, financial controls and commercial finance, in a supportive environment.

Reporting into the wider finance function, you will handle close processes, reconciliations, journals, variance analysis and budgeting support,

Qualifications

• Accounting qualification.
• 1-2 years of industry experience.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end processes and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive approach and team player.

Responsibilities

• Supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
• Posting journals, accruals, prepayments and other accounting entries
• Supporting monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Assisting with variance analysis and investigation of financial results
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assisting with audit and statutory reporting requirements
• Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance
• Supporting general ledger activities and wider accounting processes
• Working closely with operational and commercial teams across the business
• Supporting inventory and cost accounting activities
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting
• Contributing to wider finance projects and initiatives
