Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Financial Accountant to join a leading automotive manufacturing business in Ireland, responsible for accurate financial reporting, controls and partner engagements across the business.

The role suits a newly qualified or part-qualified accountant with 3+ years’ experience in financial accounting, strong SAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills and proven ability to support statutory reporting, audits and cash flow management.

Qualifications

• Newly Qualified OR Part-Qualified Accountant.
• 3+ years’ experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and month-end processes.
• Experienced SAP user.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and statutory reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts.
• Managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analysing financial performance and investigating variances.
• Leading the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
• Supporting external audits and tax compliance.
• Assisting with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Identifying opportunities for process and control improvements.
• Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight.
