Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Wicklow is partnering with a long-established construction/engineering business to recruit a Financial Accountant. You will prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory financial statements while supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

You will analyse results for variance, provide insights to stakeholders, ensure IFRS 15 compliance, and assist with VAT, RCT and corporation tax alongside cash flow forecasting and treasury tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a financial accounting or similar role.
• Strong understanding of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Experience with IFRS 15, audit management, statutory reporting and ERP systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and support month-end and year-end close.

I am partnering exclusively with a long-established Construction/Engineering company in South Wicklow, who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team.

Reporting into the wider finance function, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory financial statements, while supporting month-end and year-end close processes. You will also provide financial analysis and work closely with internal stakeholders to support business decision-making.

The business is operating with a hybrid working model and would be offering a competitive salary/package.

Requirements:

• Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
• 3+ years' experience in a financial accounting or similar role.
• Strong understanding of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Experience with IFRS 15, audit management, statutory reporting and ERP/accounting systems would be advantageous.
