Job summary

Dawn Meats is seeking a Financial Accountant to support the Finance team in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo. The role offers exposure to group-wide reporting, internal controls, and ERP integrations within a leading European meat processing group.

You will contribute to monthly and quarterly closings, consolidation, and KPI reporting, while collaborating with commercial and operations teams to drive reporting improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience preparing monthly/quarterly accounts and consolidation.
• Strong internal controls and ERP/BI tooling understanding.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in a wide variety of finance projects and tasks.
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly accounts and reports for multiple entities on time.
• Assist with year-end consolidation and statutory accounts.

Job Title: Financial Accountant

We are currently seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant to support our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a high performing individual to broaden their skills and experience with a growing and dynamic group.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Involvement in a wide variety of projects/tasks within the Finance department
• Responsibility for timely and accurate preparation of the monthly/quarterly accounts and reports for a number of entities
• Involvement in the year end consolidation process and preparation of statutory accounts.
• Consolidation of weekly accounts and KPI reporting.
• Providing analysis and decision support to the commercial and operations teams.
• Assisting in the preparation of reports for the management team.
• Development and implementation of ways to improve reporting systems and processes.
• Support in the design & implementation of group wide internal controls.
• Support in the integration of sites to the group ERP & other systems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and efficiency of the Finance function.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
