Job summary

GOAL is seeking a proactive Finance Business Partner – Funding, Programmes & Cost Recovery to strengthen financial sustainability across the organisation. The role is primarily focused on business partnering and cost recovery, with an FP&A element covering planning, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in FP&A, finance business partnering or funding finance in a complex organisation.
• Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, including advanced Excel.
• Strong IT and data capability with BI/reporting tools and multiple data sources.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems using initiative and judgement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of restricted funding, donor compliance and programme finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support GOAL’s organisation-wide cost recovery approach, including cost allocation, direct and indirect costs, and restricted and unrestricted funding.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to assess the financial viability and sustainability of funding opportunities and support informed funding decisions.
• Monitor programme and funding performance, identifying cost recovery gaps, financial risks, trends and opportunities.
• Provide financial modelling, scenario analysis, budgeting, forecasting and management information to support decision-making.
• Retrieve, reconcile and analyse complex financial and operational data across multiple systems.
• Develop clear dashboards and reporting using advanced Excel, BI/reporting tools and other relevant systems.
• Translate complex financial information into practical insight for finance and non-finance stakeholders, including input to donor discussions on budgets and cost recovery.
• Constructively challenge assumptions and proposals where appropriate, and work collaboratively across teams to improve financial processes and support sustainable outcomes.
