Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services in Dublin is offering a 11-month Finance Internship on a hybrid basis, requiring onsite presence at least 3 days per week. The role provides exposure to accounts payable/receivable, reporting and procurement operations within a Global Financial Centre of Excellence.

You will work with the Finance Manager/Lead, gain practical experience in financial analysis and data analytics, and contribute to automation initiatives using AI and digital tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years completed on a 3rd level qualification or equivalent.
• Previous work experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Digital Engagement: update vendor master records and contact details.
• Invoice Processing Automation: assist in matching, coding, and processing vendor invoices and credit notes using automated systems.
• AI and Data Analysis: support finance team with data analytics for mailbox management and decision-making.
• Procurement and AI Integration: review, generate, convert, and send purchase orders with AI tooling.
• Digital Procurement Optimization: monitor open PO's and update supplier onboarding.
• Ledger and Financial Operations: support ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: conduct in-depth analysis to aid decision-making and reporting.
• Process Automation Improvements: assist in automation and improvement of financial processes.
• Efficiency Analysis: analyze reports to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Compliance and Audit Participation: assist in audits with data gathering and policy adherence.
