Job summary

Aveo Foods in Tallaght, Dublin 24, is seeking a senior finance leader to own the accounting and finance function end to end. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive financial control, statutory and Revenue compliance, and ensure the integrity of the company’s financial records.

You will build budgets and rolling forecasts, manage working capital, develop KPI reporting across products, customers and channels, and participate as a Senior Management Team member shaping business strategy.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) with 5+ years' post-qualification experience
• Strong technical accounting: month-end close, controls, statutory reporting under FRS 102
• Hands-on Irish Revenue compliance experience: VAT, PAYE/PRSI, corporation tax
• Experience managing an accounts function and supervising staff
• Manufacturing or FMCG background strongly preferred
• A practical, hands-on approach suited to an SME - this role owns the numbers, not just the review of them

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger, reconciliations, period close and monthly management accounts
• Establish and enforce internal financial controls and audit readiness
• Full responsibility for Revenue compliance: VAT, PAYE/PRSI, corporation tax coordination and tax clearance
• Manage and develop the accounts team
• Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts and cash flow projections; manage working capital
• Build company-wide KPI reporting; analyse product, customer and channel profitability
• Contribute to business strategy as a member of the Senior Management Team

Aveo Foods is an established Irish manufacturer of chilled and frozen ready meals, with over 80 staff, supplying major retail, foodservice and airline customers from a purpose-built BRC-accredited facility in Tallaght. The business is entering a scale-up phase and is appointing a senior finance leader to the Senior Management Team.

The role

Reporting to the Managing Director, this role owns the accounting and finance function end to end. The immediate priority is the accounting function itself - financial control, statutory and Revenue compliance, and the integrity of the company's financial records - building from there into budgeting, forecasting and business performance reporting.
