Job summary

FK International - Financial Search and Selection is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a growth-focused SME in Roscommon, Ireland. The role reports to the MD and leads budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial support across sales and distribution.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with 3–5 years in finance business partnering, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with ERP upgrades and BI reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 3–5 years in finance business partnering.
• SME experience, and supply chain, sales and distribution exposure is highly preferred.
• Systems savvy, with ERP upgrade experience and strong BI reporting capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the business to provide decision support insights and actionable financial strategies based on BI and KPI reporting.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting (P&L and cashflow).
• Analyse margins and profitability and drive improvement initiatives including pricing, inventory and cashflow management.
• Support ERP upgrade projects and extract real-time BI for decision making.
• Provide finance leadership and manage day-to-day reporting, compliance and a small finance team.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects (system improvements, acquisitions DD, integrations, process improvements) and occasional travel.

Finance Business Partner

Sales & Distribution – Co. Roscommon

Position Description

Newly created position with a well-established SME sales and distribution business gearing up for a period of growth and development. This will be a key leadership role within the business, supporting an ambitious growth plan, scaling both organically and by acquisition. Reporting to the MD, key aspects of role will involve:

• Partnering with the business, providing key decision support insights and actionable financial strategies based on Business Intelligence (BI) and insightful KPI reporting and analysis
• Budgeting & Forecasting (P&L and Cashflow)
• Margin and Profitability Analysis and Improvement - performing deep-dives, identifying opportunities, optimising margins, pricing, inventory and cashflow management
• Systems – supporting an ERP upgrade, extracting powerful real-time BI to support decision making
• Finance Leadership - oversight and management over day-to-day financial and management reporting, compliance and tax, financial operations and transaction processing, leading and developing a small accounting & finance team
• Projects – ongoing support with ad-hoc project work such as system improvements/ upgrades, acquisition DD and integrations, process improvement initiatives
• Travel - small amount of travel nationwide will be required as part of the role

Hybrid working plan – 3 or 4 days in office per week.

Candidate Background

Ideal candidate will have the following background:

• Qualified Accountant with minimum 3–5 years’ relevant Finance Business Partnering experience
• SME experience highly preferably, and supply chain, sales and distribution experience strongly preferred
• Systems savvy
• Strong analytical skills, with a strong commercial acumen
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
