Job summary

Spanish Point Technologies, Ltd. is hiring a Finance Business Partner to report to the CFO. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and board-pack preparation while enhancing data automation and governance.

You will interact with Practice Leads, Private Equity partners, Auditors and Tax advisors across Ireland and the UK. The role requires at least 2 years PQE, strong accounting and financial reporting skills, and the ability to present insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years PQE with strong grounding in technical accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive budgeting, forecasting and FP&A activities: prepare and lead latest forecast and budget processes with management.
• Prepare monthly board packs with variance analysis, KPIs, cash flow and working capital insights.
• Lead digitalisation and automation of data for financial and business performance analysis.
• Month-end consolidation across the Group with the wider Finance team.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide executive support.
• Strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls.

Job Description

A new role has arisen for a Finance Business Partner with Spanish Point Technologies reporting directly to the CFO.

As Spanish Point Technologies expands in both Ireland and the UK, there is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team. The successful candidate will need to professionally manage and interact with a wide array of stakeholders, including but not limited to our Practice Leads, Private Equity partners, Auditors and Tax advisors. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate strategic vision, innovation, and creativity as well as a commitment to driving the best results for Spanish Point Technologies.

• Drive budgeting, forecasting and FP&A activities: Prepare and lead the Latest Expected and Budget processes, partnering with the Spanish Point Technologies Management Team to develop accurate forecasts and long-term budgets. Ensure financial plans are aligned with organisational goals and support proactive financial decision-making.
• Prepare monthly board packs: Responsible for the preparation and delivery of comprehensive monthly Board packs, providing clear and timely financial and operational insights to support Board-level decision-making. This includes analysing monthly financial results against budget and forecast, preparing variance analysis, reporting on key performance indicators, cash flow and working capital, and highlighting key business risks and opportunities. Ensures financial information is accurate, clearly presented and supported by meaningful commentary, with key issues and actions clearly identified for the Board.
• Lead development of greater digitalisation and automation of the data used for financial and business performance analysis: This will involve identifying opportunities to reduce manual data collection and reporting processes, improving the integration and consistency of data from different systems, and developing more automated reporting and dashboards.
• Month-end consolidation: Work closely with the wider Finance team to ensure the timely and accurate consolidation of financial results across the Group.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide executive support: Engage professionally with stakeholders across Spanish Point to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance.
• Strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls: Develop and embed a strong governance culture by ensuring adherence to appropriate financial controls. Drive continuous improvement in governance and risk compliance.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (PQE) with a strong grounding in technical accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Proven experience in commercial finance, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as a self-starter, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Prior track record of preparing and presenting financial insights to senior executives and leadership teams.
• Strong understanding of financial controls.

Broad commercial awareness with the ability to assess financial implications of operational and strategic decisions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across finance and non-finance teams, both internally and externally.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence, guide, and collaborate effectively across multi-functional teams.

Advantageous Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Power BI or equivalent.
• Prior experience of post-purchase integrations.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
