Job summary

ICT Services seeks an experienced Field Services Engineer to join the on-site IT support team in Clonmel for a leading medical device manufacturer. The role is full-time with a 6-month probation.

Expect rotating shifts (days, afternoons, evenings) and one OT Saturday per month. You will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, manage LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, RDP, and use ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years IT infrastructure field support experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT infrastructure and user support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS and network issues.
• Assist with device deployments and site travels as needed.

We’re hiring on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer in the medical device industry, for an experienced Field Services Engineer to join their on-site IT support team in Clonmel.

Contract: Full-Time Employment (FTE), 6-month probation period

Shift Pattern: Rotating days, afternoons & evenings (2 weeks days / 1 week afternoons / 1 week evenings, 16:30–01:00) + 1 OT Saturday per month (06:30–13:00, paid time and a half)

What You’ll Bring

• 3–4 years’ experience in IT infrastructure field support (hardware, software & OS troubleshooting)
• Hands-on experience with desktops, laptops, printers & peripherals
• Working knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN & RDP
• Desk-side support & PC break/fix skills, including basic Windows OS admin
• Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
• Basic understanding of MDM systems (AirWatch, XenMobile, MobileIron)
• Basic understanding of VDI, SCCM/LANDesk/Altiris, Skype for Business & OneDrive
• Associate’s Degree in Electronics + CompTIA A+ certification (preferred)
• Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50lbs
