Job summary

ICT Services is seeking a Field Services Engineer to join an on-site IT support team in Clonmel for a leading medical device manufacturer. The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, hardware, software, and network support in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should be fluent in English, able to travel to local sites, and comfortable with rotating shifts including evenings and occasional overtime. Training and on-site support will be provided.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years' experience in IT infrastructure field support.
• Desktops, laptops, printers & peripherals support.
• Strong LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN & RDP knowledge.
• Desk-side support and basic Windows admin.
• Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).
• Basic understanding of MDM systems (AirWatch, XenMobile, MobileIron).
• Knowledge of VDI and SCCM/LANDesk/Altiris; Skype for Business & OneDrive.
• Associate's Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ (preferred).
• Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50lbs.

Job description

We're hiring on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer in the medical device industry, for an experienced Field Services Engineer to join their on-site IT support team in Clonmel.

Shift Pattern:

Rotating days, afternoons & evenings (2 weeks days / 1 week afternoons / 1 week evenings, 16:30–01:00) + 1 OT Saturday per month (06:30–13:00, paid time and a half)

What You'll Bring:

• 3–4 years' experience in IT infrastructure field support (hardware, software & OS troubleshooting)
• Hands-on experience with desktops, laptops, printers & peripherals
• Working knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN & RDP
• Desk-side support & PC break/fix skills, including basic Windows OS admin
• Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
• Basic understanding of MDM systems (AirWatch, XenMobile, MobileIron)
• Basic understanding of VDI, SCCM/LANDesk/Altiris, Skype for Business & OneDrive
