Job summary

WH Scott Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Kilkenny or Tipp­­erary-based operations, working on-site with our Service Inspectors to inspect, service and repair client equipment. You will prepare and produce reports while maintaining high customer service standards and strong data integrity.

The role requires good IT and communication skills, a valid driving licence, and a willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Solid computer literacy and data entry skills.
• Commitment to health and safety standards in field operations.
• Valid full driving licence with own transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Inspectors with surveys, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Support the preparation, production, and distribution of inspection reports.
• Maintain high customer service standards in all client interactions.
• Accurately input and maintain data using operational systems.
• Uphold technical and safety standards as guided by the Service Inspector.

This role offers excellent opportunities for progression and development, working closely alongside our Service Inspectors to support a wide range of clients in sectors including utilities, marine, power, construction, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Service Inspectors with surveys, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Support the preparation, production, and distribution of inspection reports in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure high customer service standards are consistently met.
• Accurately input and maintain data using operational systems.
• Maintain technical and safety standards as guided by the Service Inspector.

Requirements

• Previous exposure to commercial cranes, lifting devices, or material handling equipment (advantageous, but not essential).
• Experience in utilities preferred, but not essential.
• EUSR Water Hygiene Card, CSCS card, and Manual Handling certification are advantageous (training provided if not held).
• Full, clean driving licence and own transport preferred.
• Good computer literacy, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of health and safetypractices.
