Job summary

Sungrow Ireland is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to keep clean-energy systems performing at their best across Ireland. You will deliver on-site commissioning, maintenance and repair for Sungrow solar inverters and storage solutions, diagnose issues through remote monitoring and on-site testing, and carry out preventive maintenance to maximise availability.

Qualifications

• Qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy or a related field.
• Hands-on field service experience in commissioning, maintenance or technical support.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and work safely with LV/MV systems.
• Clear English communication with customers; able to explain technical issues simply.
• Willing to travel regularly across Ireland and hold a valid driving licence.

Your profile

Role

All right, that was intriguing, wasn’t it? To feel confident and thrive in this role, your ideal background should look a lot like this:

• You hold a qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy or a related technical field.
• You bring hands-on experience in field service, commissioning, maintenance or technical support, ideally within solar, storage or power electronics.
• You are confident reading electrical drawings, using diagnostic tools and working safely with low- and medium-voltage systems.
• You enjoy solving problems independently while keeping customers informed and supported throughout the process.
• You are comfortable travelling regularly across Ireland and hold a valid driving licence.
• You communicate clearly in English at C1 level; additional European language skills are a plus.
