Job summary

Lam Research in Ireland is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site repair, installation and relocation start-up of our complex semiconductor equipment at customer sites in Kildare, Ireland.

You will troubleshoot and diagnose to minimize downtime, keep up to date with Lam products, and travel frequently to support customers while mentoring junior engineers and delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years
• Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and operation manuals

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance service, and installation/relocation start-up of Lam’s systems at customer sites
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, isolate issues to component level, and minimize downtime
• Coordinate activities between Lam and customer with clear communication
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical instruction
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed
