Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Leixlip, Ireland. You will install, maintain, and upgrade advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites, using digital analytics for troubleshooting and addressing technical issues.

The role includes up to 10 weeks of structured training and an expected travel of about 20%. You will work in a dynamic, hands-on environment, reading schematics and collaborating with customers to ensure uptime and high performance of critical equipment

Qualifications

Associate degree (or higher) in a relevant technical field.
2+ years of field service, customer support, or a similar technical role.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and upgrade advanced semiconductor equipment on customer sites.
Diagnose and resolve equipment issues using digital tools and analytic techniques.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across a range of systems.
Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to identify and fix faults.
Partner directly with customers to ensure equipment performance and uptime.
Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve service delivery and processes.
Take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.
