Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an on-site Field Service Technician to install, upgrade, repair and maintain CMP capital equipment in cleanroom environments at customer sites. You will diagnose hardware, electrical and PLC software issues, perform installations and upgrades, and maintain the installation equipment base.

You will read technical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and report weekly on system performance to customers and local management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with CMP equipment.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.
• NFQ level 6 or NFQ level 7 qualification in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site field service support for CMP capital equipment in cleanrooms: installations, upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Analyse, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment hardware, electrical, and PLC software issues.
• Perform installations and upgrades; maintain installation equipment base at customer sites.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
• Report weekly to onsite customers and local management on system performance and activities.

Job description

• Provide on-site field service support through installations, upgrades, repairs, and maintenance of complex CMP capital equipment in a cleanroom environment
• Analyse, diagnose, and troubleshoot EPME CMP equipment problems
• Perform installations, repairs, upgrades as well as preventive maintenance on CMP systems installed at the customer site
• Maintain an assigned installation equipment base
• Analyse, diagnose and troubleshoot all hardware and software issues on CMP semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Understand and implement factory issued hardware and software upgrades
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
• Report out to both the onsite customer and local management on a weekly basis detailing system performance and ongoing activities

Requirements

• Higher Certificate/Apprenticeship (NFQ level 6) in a technical field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a HVM environment or an Ordinary Bachelor’s Degree (NFQ level 7) in a technical field with a minimum of 1 year experience
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and software (PLC) systems
• Must be able to demonstrate effectively and clearly the ability to deliver clear and concise information to both the internal and external customers.
• Eligible to live and work in Ireland.
