Job summary

JDA WMS PTE. LTD. in Ireland seeks a field service engineer to investigate and resolve customer complaints, provide after-sales technical support and on-site service for diesel generator sets, and participate in standby rotation for 24/7 emergency support.

The role involves installation, commissioning, and training, with warranty support and collaboration with distributors and customers across the network. Regular travel to Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia regions is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia regions.
• Collaborative, task-oriented, and a strong problem solver.
• Strong customer service orientation and a genuine interest in power generation products.
• Hands-on experience with engine brands such as MHI, MTU, John Deere, or Volvo is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, commissioning, and on-site training for customers, in line with the project scope.
• Provide timely after-sales technical support, troubleshooting, and on-site service to keep customers' equipment operational.
• Service and support a wide range of diesel generator sets, from small to large capacity, and provide service and training input to other departments.
• Keep all technical and training documentation current and well organized.
• Deliver targeted training to distributors and dealers on servicing and troubleshooting, so that service quality stays consistently high across the network.
• Maintain close relationships with key customers and follow each issue through to resolution.
• Provide technical assistance during factory testing of special projects.
• Investigate the root causes of failures and recommend corrective solutions.
• Handle the technical side of warranty discussions with customers.
• Take on other service and training duties as assigned.
