Job summary

Metlab, now part of WH Scott Group, is seeking a motivated technician to join our team. This hands-on role carries out essential structural investigations and materials testing and contributes to our commitment to quality and safety in the civil engineering industry.

The successful candidate will carry out testing on structures both on-site and in controlled environments, sample materials, and prepare reports using MS Word, MS Excel, CAD and Adobe while adhering to industry standards and company

Qualifications

Civil Engineering degree (Level 7+) required.
Full, clean driving licence.
Right to work in Ireland.
Experience in construction, structural investigations, or materials testing desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Carry out testing on structures on-site and in controlled environments.
Conduct on-site sampling of materials for lab analysis and in-situ testing on structures.
Prepare test reports and certificates using MS Word, MS Excel, CAD and Adobe, following company templates.
Complete testing documentation on site and maintain accurate records for investigations.
Adhere to the Company's Quality and Safety systems.
Assist in upkeep, maintenance, and calibration of equipment.
Attend and complete training courses on test methods and safety.
