Job summary

Metlab, now part of WH Scott Group, is seeking motivated Lab & Field CMT Technicians to join our team in the Dublin area. This hands-on role involves performing laboratory and field tests and ensuring quality and safety in geotechnical engineering.

We offer comprehensive training, a collaborative environment, and a company pension. A Civil Engineering background is preferred for some aspects of the role, and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of second-level education.
• Civil Engineering degree or similar qualification for certain aspects.
• Willingness to train and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory and field-testing methods in line with standards (BS 1377, EN 933, BS EN 12390).
• Develop and apply computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Adobe for test reports and certificates using templates.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality and Safety systems.

Metlab, now part of WH Scott Group, is seeking motivated Lab & Field CMT Technicians to join our dynamic team in Dublin area. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on role, carrying out essential testing and contributing to our commitment to quality and safety in geotechnical engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory and field-testing methods in accordance with standards including BS 1377, EN 933, BS EN 12390, and other geotechnical guidelines.
• Develop and apply computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Adobe for the preparation of test reports and certificates, following approved company templates.
• Adhere to the Company’s documented Quality and Safety systems.
• Assist in the upkeep, maintenance, and calibration of all company equipment.
• Maintain organized and accurate records and files.
• Attend and successfully complete training courses on test methods and safety requirements as needed.
• Develop a strong understanding of national, international, and client-specific standards relevant to CMT tests and results interpretation.
