Job summary

Join the Sodexo catering team at University of Galway to support kitchen operations, ensuring clean workspaces and efficient service across campus. You will assist chefs during busy periods, manage deliveries, and uphold food safety standards to deliver high-quality hospitality for students, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• A good eye for cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Keep all kitchen areas, equipment, crockery and utensils clean, tidy and well-organised.
• Help chefs check, accept and correctly store incoming deliveries.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables safely and responsibly.
• Assist chefs with food preparation tasks when required.
• Support the smooth running of kitchen operations during busy service periods.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Work closely with the kitchen team and support colleagues where needed.
