Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a Cluster Facilities Manager to lead maintenance across two properties in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will oversee trades, coordinate contractors, and drive cost-effective refurbishment projects while ensuring health and safety standards.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop SOPs, train duty managers, and monitor utilities for energy efficiency. Dalata offers internal progression and a supportive academy-driven development path within

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a hotel environment.
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced setting and be standards-driven.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Excellent relationship-building with customers and team.
• Flexibility in day-to-day demands and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Electrical and plumbing qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide general maintenance support.
• Oversee contractors to ensure work is completed to standard and space is returned to order.
• Source suppliers, negotiate prices, and renegotiate annual contracts for hotel and kitchen equipment including safety items.
• Coordinate with accounts to ensure purchases align with budget and approvals.
• Create and train staff on an SOP guide for maintenance and safety procedures.
• Update procedures to reduce risk and prevent recurrence.
• Monitor utilities and pursue energy-efficient solutions.
• Project manage refurbishment or capital expenditure within cost and safety standards.
• Model professional conduct for the team in terms of work ethic, presentation, punctuality, and attendance.

Your Job:

• Supervise and provide general maintenance support.
• Oversee plumbers, electricians, and other outside contractors to ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory standard and that the workspace is returned to order.
• Source suppliers, negotiate prices, and renegotiate annual contracts for all hotel and kitchen equipment, including health and safety items such as fire extinguishers, alarms, and defibrillators.
• Liaise with the accounts department to ensure all purchases align with the budget, ensuring that a purchase order is completed and approved for all transactions.
• Establish a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guide for duty managers to follow regarding any maintenance or health and safety issues that may arise in the absence of the maintenance team. Provide full training to duty managers on this SOP.
• Reactively modify procedures and address any reported incidents to minimize risk and prevent recurrence.
• Monitor utilities and actively seek more energy-efficient solutions.
• Project manage all refurbishment or capital expenditure projects in a cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with Dalata and health and safety standards.
• Set a good example for your team regarding work ethic, attitude, personal presentation, punctuality, and attendance.

What You'll Need:

• Previous management experience in a similar hotel environment
