Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a proactive Facilities Manager for The Samuel Hotel. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee maintenance, liaise with external contractors, source suppliers, and ensure activities comply with health and safety standards.

You will lead a busy team, develop SOPs for duty managers, and drive energy-efficient improvements while maintaining excellent guest-focused service across our Dalata properties.

Formación

• Previous management experience in a similar hotel environment.
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Strong relationship-building with customers and team.
• Flexibility in day-to-day demands and changing priorities.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Electrical and plumbing qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and provide general maintenance support.
• Oversee contractors to ensure work is up to standard and space is returned to order.
• Source suppliers, negotiate prices, and renegotiate annual contracts for hotel/kitchen equipment incl. safety items.
• Coordinate with accounts to ensure purchases align with budget and approvals.
• Develop SOP guidelines for duty managers on maintenance/health and safety issues.
• Address incidents promptly to minimise risk and recurrence.
• Monitor utilities and seek energy-efficient solutions.
• Project manage refurbishment or CAPEX within cost and safety standards.
• Model best practice in work ethic, attitude, presentation, punctuality and attendance.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Cluster Facilities Manager will ensure the property is maintained to the highest possible standards. You will be professional, enthusiastic and trustworthy. You will demonstrate excellent team leading abilities as well as the initiative required to multi task in this busy environment.

Your Job:

• Supervise and provide general maintenance support.
• Oversee plumbers, electricians, and other outside contractors to ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory standard and that the workspace is returned to order.
• Source suppliers, negotiate prices, and renegotiate annual contracts for all hotel and kitchen equipment, including health and safety items such as fire extinguishers, alarms, and defibrillators.
• Liaise with the accounts department to ensure all purchases align with the budget, ensuring that a purchase order is completed and approved for all transactions.
• Establish a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guide for duty managers to follow regarding any maintenance or health and safety issues that may arise in the absence of the maintenance team. Provide full training to duty managers on this SOP.
• Reactively modify procedures and address any reported incidents to minimize risk and prevent recurrence.
• Monitor utilities and actively seek more energy-efficient solutions.
• Project manage all refurbishment or capital expenditure projects in a cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with Dalata and health and safety standards.
• Set a good example for your team regarding work ethic, attitude, personal presentation, punctuality, and attendance.
