Job summary

Walls Construction seeks an experienced Facade Supervisor/Bricklaying Foreman to lead bricklaying operations on a major project in Cork. You will coordinate bricklayers, installers and scaffolders, working closely with Site Management to deliver on schedule and quality targets.

You will review drawings, supervise crews, monitor safety, and drive efficient masonry output while mentoring apprentices and coordinating with trades to resolve issues on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bricklaying Foreman or similar supervisory role on large-scale projects.
• Extensive practical knowledge of brickwork, blockwork and masonry techniques.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical details.
• Experience managing site labour, subcontractors and materials to meet targets.
• Strong quality control and workmanship standards in masonry.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate teams and work with management and clients.
• Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Strong awareness of health & safety regulations and site compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coordinate bricklaying operatives and subcontractors to complete works safely and on schedule.
• Plan daily and weekly activities, allocate labour, materials and equipment.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure masonry meets design requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and conduct regular quality inspections.
• Coordinate material deliveries and manage site resources to minimise waste.
• Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers and surveyors to resolve issues.
• Address technical and labour challenges with practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and method statements.
• Provide progress updates to Site Management and flag risks or delays.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
• Support training of apprentices and promote best practice.
