Job summary

Farran Plant Hire Limited in Ireland is seeking 2 experienced masons to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining brick, block, stone, and concrete structures on residential, commercial, and civil projects.

You will lay bricks and blocks to drawings, measure materials, mix mortar, and ensure compliance with health and safety on site. A minimum of 2 years' experience and the ability to read construction drawings are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Mason, Bricklayer, or Stone Mason.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Knowledge of masonry techniques and construction materials.
• Good attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• English language skills sufficient for workplace communication.

Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and stone according to drawings and specifications.
• Construct walls, partitions, chimneys, foundations, and other structures.
• Measure and cut materials to required dimensions.
• Mix and apply mortar and other bonding materials.
• Repair and restore masonry structures.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
• Work effectively as part of a construction team.
