Job summary

Technical Partners in Dublin is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design function across curtain walling, cladding and façade projects. You will supervise internal and external design teams, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and client requirements.

You will collaborate with commercial, project delivery, manufacturing and installation teams to provide technical leadership and drive best practice on prestigious projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within the Curtain Walling, Cladding, or Façade industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, building envelopes, and construction detailing.
• Experience managing design teams and coordinating multiple projects.
• Excellent understanding of current Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage workloads, priorities, and project deadlines effectively.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design process across multiple projects.
• Lead design engineers and CAD technicians.
• Coordinate design programmes to meet project milestones and client expectations.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Building Regulations and standards.
• Liaise with architects, main contractors, engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Manage design risks, RFIs, and design changes.
• Oversee design reviews, approvals, and technical submissions.
• Work collaboratively with commercial and project delivery teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement in design quality and best practice.
