Job summary

Errigal Contracts Ltd. is seeking a Buyer in Facade Procurement to support the Procurement Manager by sourcing materials, equipment and services essential to construction projects.

You will maintain supplier relations, understand project timelines and place orders aligned with site logistics and company processes. The role requires related procurement qualifications and proven experience in facade procurement or supply chain, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and site teams to understand requirements and timelines.
• Place orders per company processes and coordinate deliveries with site teams.
• Adhere to the 'on-hold' process and resolve supplier queries promptly.
• Ensure Goods Received Notes are entered into the system timely.
• Identify long lead items and plan orders in advance.
• Weigh quotations from potential suppliers and negotiate prices.
• Review needs and plan future stock levels.
• Research new products and suppliers; analyse spending trends.
• Assist the Procurement Manager as required.

About the Role

The Buyer will support Procurement Manager by sourcing and managing façade materials, equipment and services essential to all of our construction projects whilst maintaining good working relations with supply chain while always driving value for the business.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Place orders in line with company processes and ensure deliveries are booked in with site teams in line with the site logistics arrangements
• Ensuring the ‘on-hold’ process is adhered to and all queries & disputes are dealt with in a timely manner for your allocated suppliers
• Ensure Goods Received Notes are received for your allocated jobs and entered into the system in a timely manner.
• Identify long lead items in conjunction with sites teams to ensure orders are placed far enough in advance to allow works to happen as scheduled
• Weighing up quotations from potential suppliers
• Negotiating prices
• Reviewing what goods, services and equipment are needed and planning future stock levels
• Researching and identifying new products and suppliers
• Analyse spending trends on your allocated jobs
• Assist the Procurement Manager as and when required.
