Job summary

Generator Dublin is seeking an exceptional food and beverage professional to join our F&B team. You will be part of Europe’s fastest moving hostel brand, delivering a memorable guest experience across bar, café or kitchen, with a passion for great coffee, craft beer and food.

You’ll report to the F&B Supervisor/Manager and work in a dynamic, guest-centric environment where teamwork and a can-do attitude are valued. Eligibility to work in the EU is required.

• Strong coffee, craft beer and food knowledge.

About Generator Dublin

You’ll find Generator Dublin in the hip Smithfield neighbourhood, adjacent to the Jameson Distillery, just a short walk from Temple Bar. The hostel’s open social spaces and café and bar, with its reclaimed wood, exposed brickwork and original stonework, give the place an unruffled industrial feel. From the Irish music belting out of Temple Bar pubs to the elegant splendour of Georgian terraces and squares, the city has many fascinating faces, every one of them ready to greet you with a welcoming smile and a pint of Guinness.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

• Report to the F&B Supervisor/Manager
• Be assigned to a department, either Bar, Café or Kitchen, but you may cross over to other outlets temporarily or permanently depending on your skills, ambitions and business requirements
• Have sound knowledge and experience working with great coffee and food with the courage to offer something a little different to the Generator guest
• Take ownership of the guest journey to ensure that we create a truly unique Generator experience.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to all customer requests and enquiries, ensuring that you maintain a “can do” attitude at all times.
• Ensure you comply with all company policies you have been trained on, which include Fire Training and Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
• Be responsible for all cash handling whilst you are on duty
• Be part of a great team within your department that get Generator and want to be themselves.
• Know your customers like you know your friends
