Job summary
Generator Dublin is seeking an exceptional Security professional to join our Security team. You will help maintain a safe, social environment across our hostel and bar, delivering a high level of service to guests and staff.
If you are motivated, organised and a people person with a genuine desire to be part of something big, this role offers a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment in a dynamic European brand.
Qualifications
- PSA license for Static Guard and Door Supervisor.
- Experience in hospitality or service industry.
- Eligible to work in the EU.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Security Manager/Supervisor.
- Maintain a professional image at all times.
- Respond to emergency calls promptly.
- Patrol public areas, guest floors and external areas.
- Record findings and take action per policies.
- Investigate guest/staff accidents and file reports.
- Comply with Fire and Health & Safety procedures.
- Check guests entering the bar are 18+.
- Complete End of Day procedures accurately.

You’ll find Generator Dublin in the hip Smithfield neighbourhood, adjacent to the Jameson Distillery, just a short walk from Temple Bar. The hostel’s open social spaces and café and bar, with its reclaimed wood, exposed brickwork and original stonework, give the place an unruffled industrial feel.
From the Irish music belting out of Temple Bar pubs to the elegant splendour of Georgian terraces and squares, the city has many fascinating faces, every one of them ready to greet you with a welcoming smile and a pint of Guinness.
- Report to the Security Manager/Supervisor
- Ensure to maintain an image that is professional at all times and take an objective view of any breaches that occur within the -Generator premises that involves staff and guests
- Respond to all emergency calls as indicated on the radio and take necessary action
- Conduct patrols of public areas, work areas, guest floor and outside areas, taking particular note of any security violations and safety hazards
- Ensuring that all findings are recorded, and action taken as outlined in our company policies and procedures
- Investigate all guest/staff accidents and ensure that the accident/incident reports are completed correctly and communicated -to the relevant members of the management team
- To comply with your responsibilities in relation to Fire, Health and Safety Procedures
- Ensure that all guests that enter the bar are over the age of 18, keeping in line with the policy on the responsible serving of alcohol
- Correctly administer the End of Day procedures every shift with 100% accuracy and consistenc

- Experience working within the hospitality/service industry
- Appropriate experience gained in all main tasks
- Hold a valid PSA license for both Static Guard and Door Supervisor
