Job summary

The Rose Hotel in Tralee, Co Kerry is seeking an F&B Assistant for Park Restaurant. The role covers breakfast, lunch and dinner with shifts that may include banquets or weddings. Expect 5 working days with 2 days off and rostered up to 39 hours per week.

The environment is fast-paced and requires a strong command of English, teamwork and flexibility. Full training and in-house meetings are provided.

Qualifications

To ensure all guests receive a genuine, warm, friendly, courteous welcome on arrival and during their stay from all departmental personnel.
To ensure that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, appearance, body language and conduct of employees is maintained.
To accept flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to Hotel guests.
To ensure you are familiar with safe keeping, cash handling, credit policy of the Hotel.
To maximize revenue in all F&B departments by actively upselling to guests.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Set up Restaurant and Banqueting areas to the agreed standard.
Keep Restaurant and Banqueting areas clean, tidy and free from hazards at all times.
Ensure all Restaurant and Banqueting equipment is cleaned, tidy and stored appropriately.
Maintain linen usage, storage and removal from F&B areas per standard.
Complete adequate mis en place for each shift.
Provide full service of food and drinks to guests in Restaurant and Banqueting areas.
Ensure guest bills are correct and all items served are included on the bill.
Keep pantries, stillroom, and glass wash areas clean and tidy.
Keep fridges and food storage areas clean and HACCP compliant.
Complete cleaning records daily.
Keep buffets fully stocked at all times.
Attend in house training and departmental meetings.
