Job summary

Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Buncrana, Ireland is seeking an experienced bartender to join our Food and Beverage team. The role suits someone confident behind the bar, with strong experience in a busy hospitality environment, and capable of providing food service in our bars, restaurant and function areas when required.

This role is part-time with a view to full-time opportunities for the right candidate. You will work independently, take responsibility during busy shifts, maintain high standards

Qualifications

• Strong bar experience is essential.
• Knowledge of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails.
• Confident and friendly guest interaction.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Cocktail experience is advantageous but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and efficient bar service.
• Prepare and serve beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and other beverages.
• Provide food and table service.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and confidently.
• Handle busy bar periods while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean and prepared before and after service.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene.
• Support and guide less experienced team members.
• Assist with weddings, functions and other busy hotel events.

Requirements

• Strong pervious bar experience is essential
• Excellent knowledge of bar service and drinks
• Confident, professional and friendly when dealing with guests
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Good communication (fluent English) and teamwork skills
• Ability to take initiative and work without constant supervision
• Flexible availability, including evening and weekends
• Cocktail experience would be an advantage but training will be provided
• The ideal candidate will be someone who is hands-on, experienced and dependable. We are looking for a person who can come into a busy shift, know what is needs to be done and help ensure both the bar and food service runs smoothly
