Job summary

ESB is seeking an Experience Designer to shape clear, inclusive digital experiences across customer-facing and internal products. You will work end to end, from discovery through delivery, across traditional interfaces as well as AI-assisted, screen-light, and screenless interactions.

You will design within ESB’s multi-brand design system to deliver accessible solutions at scale in a large, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in UX, Product or Experience Design with a showing of end-to-end impact.
• Strong Figma capability for collaborative design, prototyping and documentation.
• Experience with design systems, consuming, designing within, or contributing to them.
• Interpret brand strategy and express it through coherent, accessible product experiences.
• Practical usability testing experience from planning to applying insights.
• Solid understanding of accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG 2.2 AA, EN 301 549).
• Exposure to AI-enabled or data-driven features and non-screen or low-visibility interfaces.
• Experience in utilities, public sector, or enterprise environments; conversational UX.
• Familiarity with regulated or compliance-driven contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design end to end digital experiences including journeys, flows, high fidelity UI and micro interactions.
• Create high quality design outputs in Figma, including prototypes, interaction specs and documentation.
• Contribute to and enhance the ESB design system with tokens, patterns and components.
• Design AI-assisted, data-driven and screen-light or screenless interactions with transparency and human control.
• Embed inclusive design and accessibility standards in all design work.
• Plan and translate user research and usability testing into actionable insights.
• Partner with product, engineering and delivery teams to clarify scope and support developers with clear design intent.
