Barrog Healthcare is seeking Social Care Workers for day services in Cork City and County. The role involves supporting individuals with disabilities through person-centred care, meaningful activities and community participation, working with a team to promote independence and inclusion.

Positions are part-time (32 hours/week), with shifts 12:00–19:30 in Mayfield and 13:00–20:00 in Monahan Road. Salary from €15.00–€17.00/hr, reporting to Team Lead and Day Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have permission to work in Ireland.
• A full clean driving licence is required.
• Support Worker applicants must have a QQI Level 5 major award in Health or Social Care, or at least two modules and a commitment to complete the full award.
• Social Care Worker applicants must have a BA or QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care, or another sufficiently relevant qualification, and CORU registration.
• Relevant nursing, psychology, addiction studies, teaching or youth training qualifications may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Support individuals with intellectual or physical disabilities and autism.
• Assist service users with daily living activities and mobility.
• Help individuals develop new skills and maximise independence.
• Promote meaningful community participation and equal citizenship.
• Contribute to care and placement plans and attend meetings.
• Follow positive behaviour support plans when managing challenging behaviour.
• Maintain accurate records and provide activity reports to management.
