Job summary

Barróg Healthcare is seeking Social Care Workers and Support Workers for day services across Cork City and County. The role involves supporting individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities and autism through person-centred care, meaningful activities and community participation.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 major award in Health or Social Care (or equivalent).
• BA or QQI Level 7 in Social Care or other relevant qualification.
• CORU registration as Social Care Worker where applicable.
• At least 1 year of healthcare or social care experience.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with intellectual or physical disabilities and autism.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility needs.
• Help service users develop new skills and independence.
• Promote community participation and equal citizenship.
• Assist with care and placement plans and attend meetings.
• Follow positive behaviour support plans when managing behaviours.
• Maintain accurate records and provide activity reports.
