Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking an Installation Engineer to support European regions, including Germany, Ireland, France, and Italy. You will install, test, and ensure the proper commissioning of semiconductor production equipment, traveling extensively across Europe.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to quality standards, and ongoing training through mentoring. Strong technical and communication skills are essential for success in this hands-on installation

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree with technical background.
Good English communication skills both written and verbal.
Position open to junior profiles and willing to travel 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

Perform independently installation tasks (mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibrations) from integration to inspection.
Follow checklists and procedures; ensure schematics available prior to work.
Test equipment with senior engineers and diagnostics.
Respond to factory issues, participate in escalation calls.
Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle time and costs.
Provide accurate reporting of status, hours worked and non-conformances.
Adhere to security policy and quality standards.
