Job summary

Cognex Corporation, Cork-based, seeks an experienced payroll leader to oversee European payroll operations with a focus on automation and process improvement. The role partners with ES, Europe Finance, Accounting, and Tax to implement streamlined payroll processes and ensure compliance across multiple countries.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years’ European payroll experience, proficiency with ADP/SAP/UKG/Workday, and strong project management and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of European payroll experience desirable, ideally at a US-listed global tech company.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent.
• Fluency in another European language (German preferred) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day payroll operations across Europe and ensure timely, accurate payments.
• Provide technical guidance on complex payroll queries and processes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws across regional countries and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate filings with government authorities and collaborate with tax and ES teams.
• Lead payroll development and implementation for acquired companies or new countries.
