Job summary

Fidelity Information Services, LLC in Dublin is seeking a Head of EU Policy to lead the company’s EU policy strategy and engagement. Based in Dublin with travel to Brussels, you will influence policy direction, align stakeholders, and advise leaders on strategic decisions across European markets.

You will oversee external government affairs and report to the VP of Global Public Policy. The role focuses on Digital Euro, AI Act, PSD3, data privacy, and EU digital sovereignty, coordinating with EU

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in EU public policy or government affairs with EU institutions.
• Deep understanding of EU legislative and regulatory processes including EC, EP, Council.
• Knowledge of payments, financial services or technology sectors with EU frameworks such as AI Act, PSD3, DORA/MiCA.
• Strategic, politically savvy thinker translating EU policy into actionable guidance for a US-headquartered fintech.
• Proven ability to build relationships across EU institutions, national delegations and coalitions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with EU institutions and member state authorities.
• Drive monitoring and engagement across policy areas like Digital Euro, AI Act, PSD3, and data privacy.
• Represent FIS in EU trade associations coordinating policy positions.
• Partner with European sales teams to address tech sovereignty in client engagements and RFPs.
• Advise senior leaders on regulatory developments shaping business strategy and product priorities.
• Develop policy positions and lead responses to European regulatory consultations.
• Lead advocacy strategy to position FIS as a trusted partner in Europe and counter risks.
