Job summary

Google LLC in Dublin, Ireland, seeks a Regulatory Counsel, Content to focus on the EMEA region, interpreting laws, advising cross-functional teams, and engaging regulators to mitigate risk.

You will partner with Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering to translate obligations into concrete requirements, provide policy guidance, and manage regulator discussions. 7+ years of attorney-level experience and EU content regulation knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in an EU member state.
• 7 years attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• Experience with EU-level content regulation such as the Digital Services Act, AVMSD and EMFA.
• Experience engaging regulators and regulatory compliance in a tech company.

Responsibilities

• Shape laws and interpret compliance obligations into requirements for Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Provide legal advice on compliance programs and policies to help mitigate risk.
• Manage government and regulator discussions, negotiations, and disclosures on compliance readiness efforts.
