Job summary

Amazon's AWS division is seeking experienced systems engineers to lead the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) operations, building, operating and evolving high-availability services for EU customers.

You will work with global teams, develop automation, participate in on-call rotations, and help scale a best-in-class development engineering and operations function.

Fluency in English and EU nationality are required; relocation support available.

Qualifications

Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting.
Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
EU national and resident within the EU to operate the ESC.

Responsibilities

Oversee ongoing operations and expansion of ESC.
Collaborate with global AWS teams to improve availability and performance.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations to resolve incidents.
Develop and test scripts to improve workflows.
Educate service teams on ESC complexities and best practices.
Root-cause issues and ensure system resilience.
