Job summary

Elite Talent Hub seeks an experienced Estimator for its pre-construction team in Oranmore, Co. Galway. You will prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for residential, commercial and civil projects, working with design and commercial teams to secure opportunities.

The role requires interpreting drawings and tender documents, strong numerical skills and proficiency in Excel and estimating software. You’ll manage several tenders under tight deadlines in a dynamic contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret tender documentation, drawings and employer requirements.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
• Experience pricing residential, commercial or civil engineering projects.
• Proficient in Excel and pricing software.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review tender docs, drawings and employer requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and assess risks and opportunities.
• Prepare tender submissions within deadlines.
• Collaborate with design, commercial and operational teams.
• Attend pre/post tender meetings with clients and stakeholders as required.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and cost information.
• Support value engineering and handover to project delivery teams.
