Job summary

Townmore Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our expanding commercial team in Ireland. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions, analyzing drawings and specifications, and coordinating with pre-construction, commercial, and project delivery teams.

The successful candidate will price projects across multiple sectors, evaluate quotations, prepare Bills of Quantities, and identify value engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator within construction.
• Multidiscipline estimating experience across sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.

Townmore Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our expanding commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with strong multidiscipline construction estimating experience who is looking to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality projects across Ireland.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders, working closely with our pre‑construction, commercial, and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for a diverse range of construction projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and contract documentation to identify project requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and pricing schedules where required.
• Assess project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Support the commercial team during project handover and post‑tender negotiations.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and market cost data.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
• Multidiscipline estimating experience is essential, with the ability to price projects across a variety of construction sectors.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, procurement, and sequencing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.

Desirable

• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with main contractors.
• Knowledge of Irish construction contracts and procurement processes.
