Job summary

Techrete Balbriggan is seeking a Full Time Estimator to join the Estimating team at Stephenstown Industrial Park, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.

The role involves thorough measurement of facades, tender assessment and cost planning, with close collaboration across PreConstruction, Sales and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will have a 3rd level QS/Construction Economics qualification or equivalent experience, plus 3–4 years’ subcontractor/contractor exposure.

Qualifications

• A 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics is desirable; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 3/4 years' experience with a subcontractor, contractor or PQS practice would be advantageous.
• Experience in subcontracting, technical, architectural, or engineering fields would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Thorough measurement of facades and panelisation of schemes.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications; ensure comprehensive record keeping.
• Reporting to Head of Estimating and ensuring on-time reporting to stakeholders.
• Compile estimates, budgets and cost plans; analyse material, labour and equipment costs.
• Utilise 3D models, drawings and specifications; explore new construction technologies.
