Job summary

Inform3 Recruitment is seeking an Estimator in Cavan to prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions, and cost analyses, while reviewing drawings and specifications to deliver competitive bids.

The role requires experience in pricing medium to large-scale building projects, a relevant degree in Commercial or Construction Management, and strong numerical, analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

• Degree or qualification in Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Experience pricing medium to large-scale building projects
• Experience working for a main contractor
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficiency with estimating software

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analysis
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
• Liaise with design, commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process

An established and highly respected construction contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its growing pre‑construction team.

Working on a diverse portfolio of high‑value building projects you'll play a pivotal role in preparing competitive tenders, developing accurate cost estimates and supporting the successful delivery of projects from tender stage through to contract award.

The Role

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
