Job summary

An Garda Síochána in Ireland seeks a Head of Estate Management to lead estate strategy and management, partnering with the Office of Public Works to ensure safe, compliant buildings and efficient service delivery.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and Services, the role oversees estate strategy 2026-2030, capital budgets circa €80m in 2026, and nationwide estates operations, governance and asset maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refresh the Estates Strategy 2026-2030 for the delivery of quality accommodation that is secure and fit for purpose.
• Oversee and manage a significant capital budget in line with government guidelines on infrastructure governance and value for money.
• Drive delivery of the estates and facilities management function across An Garda Síochána Estate Management staff nationwide by supporting divisions, regions, and national units on estate matters and implementing policies and controls.
• Drive delivery of assurance processes to inspect compliance with estate strategic plans, policies, processes, and document retention practices.
• Manage all Estates Budgets, both Capital and Operating Expenditure, in partnership with the Office of Public Works (OPW) with multi-annual capital funding for investment in the Garda estate (circa. €80 m in 2026).
