Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is recruiting for an EPMS Controls Design Engineer to coordinate Building Management System and Electrical Power Monitoring System standards across the AWS data center portfolio. You will review drawings, develop SOWs, and lead cross-team initiatives to reduce change orders and improve EPMS practices.

Ideal candidates have strong experience with EPMS, Modbus, and data center environments, plus a BS in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of related work.

Qualifications

• Experience with fast-track project design/build or multiple significant project upgrades.
• Experience working in data centers or other critical environments.
• Experience with electrical diagrams, single-line diagrams, and electrical distribution systems.
• Experience with industrial controls systems and power monitoring/SCADA systems.
• Experience with Modbus and industrial communication protocols.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of EPMS programming and design, Modbus protocol, electrical distribution, and data center redundancy.
• Review MEP drawings for EPMS design content.
• Create EPMS SOWs, provide RFI support, and review vendor proposals.
• Coordinate with regional project managers to finalize project SOWs.
• Review LLE submittals to ensure EPMS scope is captured.
• Attend Factory Witness Tests and Equipment Qualification Tests for EPMS validation.
• Create/update controls points list, EPMS templates, and Basis of Design docs.
• Develop specification documents for global projects.
• Lead collaboration across teams to achieve initiative goals.
• Manage RFIs for new builds, site enhancements, and legacy projects.
• Serve as central point for EPMS design standards.
