Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is seeking a Project Design Controls Engineer to lead the design and integration of Building Management and Electrical Power Monitoring systems for data center retrofit projects. You will bridge mechanical and electrical retrofit design with controls integration across a global fleet, delivering reliable, energy-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
Experience with EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls systems software or hardware.

Responsibilities

Lead controls design and integration for retrofit projects across data centers.
Develop and maintain controls standards, specs, and SOWs for fleet remediation retrofit projects.
Collaborate with FRE mechanical and electrical engineers, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
Serve as central technical authority for BMS/EPMS controls within FRE.
Review controls design packages for risks and optimization opportunities.
Coordinate with vendors and programmers on bid reviews, RFIs, and code reviews.
Develop control sequences, diagrams, and network architecture for retrofit applications.
